Hello, my name is Mike Louie I have been a licensed real estate agent for 6 years. I have grown up in Idaho and have had the pleasure to watch it grow and prosper over the years. In the late 90s my dad was a builder where I was able to learn the ins and outs of home building a quality home. His entire reason for building a home is to make someone’s dream come true and I now have that very same aspiration for my clients. For the past 10 years I have been enjoying my career as a real estate appraiser and have learned the ins and outs of the market. I have seen the rise and fall of home prices over the years  and understand how home buying is something you need to make sure you are educated and well represented  in making  good decisions.  With this vast experience and knowledge, I have rededicated myself to the realm of real estate to give my clients the best knowledge of prices for buying and selling in this market. Growing up in Idaho has been an awesome experience. I am a 6th generation Idahoan. My grandfather and father gardened in what is now Garden City. I have had the opportunity to learn how to camp, hunt, fish, golf and snow ski. I have also recently (at the young of age of 40…lol) taken up running, biking and soccer. My knees are telling me every day how old I am. If anyone is interested in starting any of these activities, I invite you to do them with me. It really is a blast. Soccer and biking have become new passions of mine and I think it’s never too late to try something new or at least come watch. I have also made the decision to run a marathon in 2011. Yikes.

Rental Vacancy at an all time low

I recently read a posting from Park Place property management that showed that the current vacancy rate is below 4%, which is an all time low in the past 4 years. This means there are less places to be rented, making it a great time for investors to buy properties. This also means that rental rates may increase in the near future. And even more startling, is the fact that there is very little new construction in multi family. So values are almost certainly going to increase.
